I'd like to be the first one to leave a comment. I think this is awesome. . . and can't wait to hear the finished product. It is a wonderful experience just for me to know someone who has such a passion and vision for music. I admire your talent and aspire to one day have the same ( or better. . .hehe; there is no limit to greatness) ability to not only play guitar with such skill, but to also have such a grasp on the whole process of writing music in its entirety.

I understand that you are just learning how your new gizzmo works and, to me this sounded good but only as a sampler of abilities. I am looking forward to you getting through this stage and begin to apply each of your sounds or skills individually or separately and not try to put it all into each song you write. Did that make sense? In other words, your versatilities and styles need to be matched up or blended or kept separate. Stepping beyond experimentation toward creation. You can do it. Be patient.
Listen carefully to songs that have stood the test of time and still stand on thier own even now and always will. Ask yourself, "why is that." I will tell you now son, you have a sound, in all its forms, that is unique. Be the master of them. Shape them and mold them into masterpieces that will stand the test of time.
Beethoven, Bach, Elvis, Buddy Holly, John Lennon of the Beatles, Paul McCartney also of the Beatles, Chuck Berry, Dream Theatre, Kiss, The Eagles, Bob Seger...and the rest have had sounds that will always be loved, played often and forever. Your sound in your genre of music will be that way too when you solidify and control/direct it into the creature you envision it to be.
I will bring up Gary Wright for only one reason. I have I think, his only album he ever came out with. I bring him up because all the sounds on that album is his sounds except for drum. He was/is a keyboard guy and built his songs layer with layer or track and track. When I learned about that I was amazed. Dream Weaver was his biggest hit. I know you have heard it sometime in your life.
You once mastered "Classical Gas." Now master YOU!
